ZAGREB, Sept 18 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament Speaker Zlatko Tomcic received the representatives of the Coordination of the Homeland Defence War Associations and the Disabled War Veterans Association (HVIDR-a) Tuesday to discuss the
new draft bill on war veterans. In the Parliament Speaker we have found a partner for finding the best solutions to our problems, HVIDR-a president Marinko Liovic said. I am very pleased with the results of today's meeting, Tomcic added. Even though the war veterans are not satisfied with some proposed solutions, they demonstrated willingness for dialogue. Both sides agreed on another meeting after the bill is set for the parliamentary discussion. The most important development, Tomcic said, was the fact that both sides realised there was room for further decrease of costs through the revision of the war veterans benefit recipients.(hina) js
