The committee on Wednesday unanimously established that the only valid and credible text of the Constitution was only the final draft of the Constitution published by the committee last July.
Committee chairman Vladimir Seks said it was evident that the Constitutional Court had no powers to elaborate or publish the final draft of the Constitution and that it was only within the remit of the national highest law-making body, that is the national parliament.
External members of the committee, who are legal experts, agreed with the statement that it was the parliament that was responsible for drafting the text of the Constitution.
