SKOPJE, July 26 (Hina) - NATO Secretary General George Robertson and the European Union High Representative for foreign affairs and joint security, Javier Solana, said the peace process was resumed after they held several meetings with top Macedonian officials in Skopje on Thursday. The political process and the cease-fire are back on track, Solana said at a news conference. Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski announced the resumption of negotiations between Skopje and ethnic Albanian leaders. The first round of new talks is to take place in Tetovo where the fighting erupted on Wednesday. On Thursday, it was tense but calm in that town (some 50 kilometres west of the Macedonian capital). This is a sign of good will, Trajkovski said at the joint news conference he held with NATO and EU chiefs.
