ZAGREB, July 17 (Hina) - In his speech at a plenary session of the UN Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula supported Africa's self-sustainable development and pointed to Croatia's
contribution in the realisation of this goal, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday. Picula pointed to the 50-year long tradition of education of African students in Croatia and Croatia's contribution to Africa's stability by sending military observers in Siera Leone, Ethiopia and Eritrea. Picula also pointed to the fact that Croatia gave its contribution to the initiative for poor countries in great debts. He expressed belief the United Nations and the international community should be more engaged in helping African countries.(hina) it
