ZAGREB, July 6 (Hina) - Representatives of the administration for the coordination of the aid and cooperation with the European Union programme on Friday in the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) presented the CARDS programme
(Community Assistance for Reconstruction Development and stabilisation). The CARDS programme is a new instrument for technical aid provided by the European Union and earmarked for Southeast European needs in the stabilisation and association process, and the beneficiaries are Croatia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Yugoslavia and Macedonia. The funds earmarked for the period between 2000 and 2006 amount to EUR4.65 billion. This is a technical assistance in the form of consultants, enhancement and equipment for a minor part of the project, while the financial aid, namely investments, will be in the form of the co-financing of loans.(hina) it sb
