LJUBLJANA, May 5 (hina) - A special commission of inquiry of the Slovene parliament will investigate alleged embezzlements in the sale of surplus power from the Krsko nuclear power plant since mid-1998, when all the deliveries to
Croatia were discontinued and the power plant became a public firm managed by the government. The opposition's parties on Thursday collected the necessary 30 signatures, demanding that such a commission be established. The opposition claims the nuclear power plant has been selling power abroad for a two and a half times lower price than the one which was agreed on with Croatia, adding that due to this, only in 1999 the plant suffered a DM70-80 million loss.(hina) it sb
