ZAGREB, July 2 (Hina) - The Croatian Telecom company (HT) holds that the criminal charges levelled against a company official a fortnight ago, is "unfounded because at the time the decision was made to give the HT a concession for a
fixed telephone network, there was no rule book on the height of the price for telecommunication services, nor did anybody of HT officials know, or could have known, that such a rule book was being drawn up". This is the HT's official message, relayed to reporters by spokesman Marijan Jurleka, commenting on events in the past couple of days. Police filed criminal charges against a former finance minister Borislav Skegro and HT management board chairman Ivica Mudrinic, on suspicion that they caused 215 million kuna damage to the government budget through abuse in the first phase of the company's privatisation process. Borislav Skegro and HT management board chairman Ivica Mudrinic, on

The state prosecutor reports the charges against former ministers
Skegro and Ivan Pavlovic, as well as Mudrinic and three other
persons suspected of illegal acts during the privatisation, are
