By signing the charter, Yugoslavia assumed the obligation of respecting democratic European standards in the protection of minorities in the country. After the opening, representative of the Yugoslav delegation and
Yugoslav deputy foreign minister Jelica Minic signed a charter on
the protection of minorities.
