PULA, June 10 (Hina) - President of the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS), Ivan Jakovcic, told today's news conference he would offer his resignation as European Integrations Minister to Prime Minister Ivica Racan in the next few
days. He added he expected the parliament and speaker Zlatko Tomcic to relieve him of the duty at a session on June 19. Jakovcic reiterated the reasons for the IDS leaving the ruling six-party coalition. According to him, the decision was made because of "insincere partnership relations in the six parties ever since they got to power, the utterly negative attitude towards Istria which has become a usual culprit.," and "the conduct of two coalition partners which have, without the knowledge of the IDS, announced the European Integrations Ministry would be rescinded".(hina) lml
