VIENNA, May 16 (Hina) - A mixed Croatian-Austrian commission on tourism wrapped a three-day session in Vienna on Wednesday by signing a tourist cooperation protocol. The commission agreed to enhance all forms of tourist cooperation,
by eliminating obstacles hampering better cooperation and increasing tourist trade, as well as by training Croatia's tourist workers, and through joint promotional activities. The Vienna talks also tackled the stimulation of the Croatian tourism's private sector. The Croatian side announced an conference on investing in Croatia's tourism and hotel business, scheduled for Nov. 27 in Salzburg. The Austrians rank fifth in Croatian overnights, with 512,000 tourists registered last year. The Austrian-Croatian commission on tourism will next meet in June 2002.(hina) ha sb
