PULA, May 7 (Hina) - After last week's posters with Benito Mussolini's picture appeared in Pula, pamphlets have been seen in Istria Monday proclaiming the prohibition of the use of Croatian language in public places and stores in
Vodnjani. Istria police spokeswoman Stefanija Prosenjak Zumber told reporters police were in the process of finding out who are the authors of the pamphlets which were signed "Vodnjani fascist national party command". The pamphlet also propagates the abolition of signing or speaking in the Croatian language in public places. Italian must be spoken in stores also. We shall use convincing methods to have this order followed, the pamphlet reads. Asked to comment on the occurrence, Vodnjani municipality commissioner Lidia Delton voiced bitterness and decried the pamphlets, describing their authors as nostalgists who clearly have no business being in Istria.(hina) lml sb
