PM RACAN AGAINST INTERFERING IN BOSNIAN AFFAIRS

ZAGREB, May 7 (Hina) - Croatia will not deal with any one individual in Bosnia, including the president of Bosnia's Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party, Ante Jelavic, Prime Minister Ivica Racan told reporters in Zagreb on Monday. Commenting on the international community's alleged discontent over his lack of determination to deal with Jelavic, Racan said he did not accept objections which were contrary to Croatian government policy. The prime minister said Zagreb did not want to interfere in the matter but wanted to help in the resolving of Bosnia's internal issues. He condemned all forms of political extremism in Bosnia. "We do not interfere in the events in the neighbouring republic, we want to help. By acting this way, the Croatian government has increased the possibility of resolving existing political problems, disputes and open issues not through confrontation and escalation of conflicts but through dialogue," said Racan. "We have condemned and continue to condemn every form of political extremism, including that coming from Mostar by some factions of the HDZ," the prime minister said. (hina) ha sb
