MOSTAR, April 26 (Hina) - The Bosnian Croat People's Union (HNZ), a
political party which is part of the Croat Co-ordination, has
called on the Croat National Congress of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the
Alliance for Changes, the country's two opposed political blocs, to
start dialogue with the aim of resolving the current crisis within
the Bosnian Croat corps.
The HNZ has also called for the annulment of a controversial
decision of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe
(OSCE) on the election of deputies to the state parliament and the
parliament of the Croat-Muslim entity.
After the adoption of new electoral rules, the HDZ and some other
Bosnian Croat parties declared Croat self-rule. The Croat
Coordination consists of Croat officials who are participating in
the work of the state and federal authorities in Sarajevo.
"The Provisional Election Commission should withdraw its decision
on the election of deputies to the House of Peoples of the
Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina. After that, it should make a
decision on the constitution of those bodies in line with the
previously valid regulations, a process which should include the
HDZ BiH and other parties forming the Croat National Congress, as
well as the Alliance for Changes, which has already formed the
authorities in line with the current regulations," the HNZ says.
If the HDZ and other parties from the Croat National Congress do not
return to the institutions of the system and representatives of the
Alliance continue claiming "the share of political responsibility
which does not belong to them," it "will be necessary to call new
elections already in autumn, with harmonised election rules and
regulations," the HNZ says.
A Croat Coordination delegation met Croatia's highest state
officials in Zagreb on Thursday.
