ZAGREB, April 6 (Hina) - The Croatian Armed Forces and a unit of the United States Sixth Fleet will hold a joint exercise called Slunj 2001 at the Slunj military range in Croatia on April 9-27, the Croatian Defence Ministry said on
Friday. The military exercise will include the first and second brigades of the army and units of the first, third, and fifth districts on Croatia's part, and marines from the USS Nassau amphibian group and the 22nd marine expedition corps on the U.S. part. Due to the area where the exercise will take place, the Croatian ministries of defence, environmental protection, and zoning will cooperate with the U.S. Embassy to pay special attention to the environment and take measures to alleviate adverse effects as much as possible.
