MOSTAR, April 4 (Hina) - Bosnia's Croat National Congress confirmed on Wednesday its president Ante Jelavic visited the Posavina Canton on Tuesday to participate in the work of the Croat Self-Government Coordinating Council. The
international community's High Representative in Bosnia, Wolfgang Petritsch, relieved Jelavic of duty as a member of Bosnia's three-man presidency in the wake of a Croat National Congress decision to proclaim Bosnian Croat self-rule. The Congress said in a statement today that Jelavic participated in the work of the Croat Self-Government Coordinating Council in Odzak. The session formulated draft measures aimed at expediting refugee returns and employment programmes for demobilised war veterans. According to the statement, during talks with Jelavic local officials and representatives of the Catholic Church fully supported the decisions of the Congress.
