EUROPEAN DONORS TO FINANCE RECONSTRCUTION IN PETRINJA AREA

PETRINJA AREA PETRINJA, March 19 (Hina) - European humanitarian organisations will finance the reconstruction of Petrinja and neighbouring villages, some 60 kilometres south-east of Zagreb. Per Vinther, head of the European Commission Delegation to Croatia, and Wolfgang Greessman of the German humanitarian organisation Arbeiter Samariter Bund's (ABS) office in Croatia signed an agreement on behalf of foreign donors with Petrinja mayor Ivan Kovac and Sisak-Moslavina County prefect Djuro Brodarac in the village of Gornja Bacuga on Monday. This is the second agreement on the financing of the reconstruction of destroyed houses, municipal infrastructure, schools, day-care centres and other housing and business facilities in the Petrinja area.
