Along with Poland, by the year 2004, Croatia will be the leading state of subregional cooperation, participants of the convention said. The two-day convention in Sofia gathered more than 130 participants who discussed the work it did in the past two years, and the strategy of implementing provisions of the ESPOO Convention. The Convention binds member countries to inform and advise each other about all projects which could have a significant effect on the environment over borders.
