ZAGREB, Feb 13 (Hina) - Croatia's President Stjepan Mesic and Austrian Ambassador to Croatia, Hans Knitel, on Tuesday held talks on Mesic's visit to Vienna, scheduled for 20 and 22 February. The Croatian President's visit to Austria
will be the confirmation of a high level of ties between the two countries as well as an occasion for giving incentive to economic cooperation, Ambassador Knitel said. According to a statement released by the President's Office, Mesic said he and his Austrian hosts would primarily discuss the strengthening of the economic cooperation as well as the situation in the region. Commenting on the rallies recently held in support to General Mirko Norac, Austrian diplomat said he hoped the coming rally in Zagreb, set for Thursday, would be peaceful.(hina) ms
