ZAGREB IN LAST FEW DAYS ZAGREB, Feb 3 (Hina) - In the last few days the Zagreb police confiscated 14.5 kilograms of marijuana and 119 pills of ecstasy, and pressed charges against five persons for the possession of narcotics, the
police command reported on Saturday. The biggest amount of 13.5 kilogram marijuana was taken from a 26-year-old man, a non-commissioned officer of the Croatian army, and his girlfriend on Thursday. The police possessed information that he had been selling drugs for some time, and therefore on Thursday police officers waited for him in the hall of a building where he lived with his girlfriend. The police found 8.2 kilograms of marijuana on him. The drug was stored in 12 packages. During the search of the flat where he and his girlfriend lived policemen found another 5.3 kilograms of the drug. After that, his another flat in other part of Zagreb was also combed and police discovered 30 gram of marijuana an

After that, his another flat in other part of Zagreb was also combed
and police discovered 30 gram of marijuana and a large amount of
money believed to be earned from drug dealing.
Charges were preferred against this pair. Military police is also
conducting an investigation against this non-commissioned
officer.
In another case, policemen seized one kilogram of marijuana which a
man had on himself near a petrol station in the suburb of Precko.
Ecstasy pills were confiscated when police asked a 16-year-old boy
and his 21-old friend to show heir identity cards. Spotting police
officers, the 16-year-old boy threw over one hundred ecstasy pills,
while the other man had five grams of marijuana with him.
