trademark, the country's proximity to west European countries, the
exceptional quality of the sea and the country's cultural and
natural beauties.
A major British travel agency recently conducted a poll in 500
European hotels for vacationing. The top ten hotels include two
Croatian hotels: the hotel 'Croatia' in Cavtat (near Dubrovnik) and
'Soline' in Brela near the central Dalmatian resort of Makarska.
The list also includes all cultural and sports events, from the
Dubrovnik Summer Festival to the Sinjska Alka contest and yachting
regattas.
