Kostelic beat her closest rival by 1.62 seconds despite a very wet
course in this last women's event before the world championships to
start on Monday.
Kristina Koznick from the U.S. came second in 1:32.40 and
Switzerland's Sonja Nef third in 1:32.82.
Kostelic's reclaimed the lead in the overall World Cup standings
that she lost last weekend to Renate Goetschl of Austria at Italy's
Cortina D'Ampezzo.
The results are greater in view of the fact that she came back into
the competition after she sustained a grave knee injure in the
downhill training race in St. Moritz in December 1999.
