DAVOS JAN 26-28 DAVOS, Jan 23 (Hina) - President Stipe Mesic will attend the 31st World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland on Jan. 26-28, joining the world's political and economic elite in talks on a series of issues in
connection with how to sustain growth and overcome divisions as a framework for a global future. Mesic is to take part in two panel debates, the first dedicated to transition in countries of Central and East Europe and the second to reconstruction and stability in the Balkans, the president's Office said on Tuesday. After a decade of insecurity, conditions have been provided in Southeast Europe for foreign investments, political stability, and lasting peace, the WEF says on its web-pages. The region and its partners now have to find answers to the question which steps countries in Southeast Europe need to take to succeed in using their potential.
