ZAGREB/TOKYO, Jan 23 (Hina) - Representatives of some 60 Japanese companies and banks, who participated in Tuesday's presentation of investment possibilities in Croatia, were mostly interested in the privatisation of the Croatian
Power Industry (HEP), INA oil company and the Druzba Adria project, which includes the Adriatic Oil Pipeline (JANAF), the Economy Ministry reported. Attending today's seminar on Croatia's economy were representatives from investment banks Bank of Tokyo, Sanwa Bank, the Tokyo branch of the New York ABN AMRO Bank, Nomura Securities and corporations such as Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, Toyota, Itochu and Kajima. Croatian representatives, led by Economy Minister Goranko Fizulic, also spoke about the modernisation of the northern Adriatic port of Rijeka and its links with central and east European markets.(hina) rml
