This refers to a consensus on the issue, Racan said after a meeting
with the leaders of the ruling coalition on Monday evening.
The prime minister expects representatives of the coalition and
opposition parties to meet in the next few days.
The premier announced that on Thursday the government would discuss
a national programme for admission to the EU - 2003, which is in
accordance with the plan on the implementation of the Stabilisation
and Association Agreement (SAA).
The coalition has suggested that the subject of consensus be a joint
document, to be adopted in parliament, and a date for Croatia's
application for full membership in the EU, Racan said.
He said that January 15, 2003 should be the approximate date for the
application.
