ZAGREB, Dec 3 (Hina) - Disabled persons should be cared for throughout the year, while on their international day, December 3, it should be stated that all state mechanisms and humanitarian organisations must help but also that each
disabled person may contribute to the quality of their life, President Stjepan Mesic said on Tuesday.

Together with members of several associations of the disabled, at
Zagreb's central Ban Jelacic square at 3 p.m. today Mesic welcomed
two disabled marathon runners, Tadija Opacak and Dusko Strbac, who
had run the 360 km dividing Zagreb and Budapest in five days.
