He urged the opening of the announced border crossings as soon as
possible between Kosovo and Macedonia.
NATO and European Union officials, who held a news conference in the
Macedonian capital, also expressed support to the demarcation of
the borderline, and commented on some ethnic Albanian leaders'
resentment regarding this issue. The Union is planning to finance
one million euros for this purpose.
A spokeswoman for the EU, Irena Djuzelova, said in Skopje that
negative reaction to the matter was unacceptable, while a spokesman
for NATO, Craig Redcliff, who expressed the same stand of the
Alliance, announced that NATO Secretary-General George Robertson
would visit Macedonia on Friday.
