At 05:20 hours Sunday a church was completely devastated in an
explosion in the village of Ljubovo, UNMIK spokesman Andrea Angeli
said.
The second incident occurred a little before midnight on Saturday
in the village of Djurakovac, some 80 kilometres west of Pristina.
The windows and doors of the village Orthodox church were destroyed
in three explosions, Angeli said.
The UN civil administrator to Kosovo, Michael Steiner, visited the
sites on Sunday. He condemned the incidents, describing them as
harmful for the development of the current situation in Kosovo.
Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova also denounced the incidents, as
did the political representatives of Serbs who criticised the
international community for failing to establish order and law in
Kosovo.
