The changes were proposed by the government, which believes that
this will make courts more accessible to citizens, particularly
those with lower living standards.
Continuing its 26th session, the parliament positively assessed a
bill on changes to the Law on Social Care. The bill, which will be
forwarded into the second reading, introduces some new forms of
non-institutional care and offers better conditions to foster
families, as well as various forms of assistance to students with
low living standards.
The bill also envisages the establishment of an institute for
social care, which would provide financial assistance and
supervise the system of social care.
The parliament positively assessed a report on the implementation
of the Law on the Rights of War Veterans in the second half of 2001.
