countries aspiring to join the European Union convened in Zagreb on
Monday for a working meeting which will address strategic planning.

The event, which closes on the 14th, has pooled officials from
Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Belarus,
Georgia, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Russia, and the Ukraine.
The conference is part of a long-term regional training programme
for state audit officials of countries within EUROSAI, the European
Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions.
The purpose of the conference is consulting in view of jointly
understanding a long-term development programme, reaching an
agreement as to its goals and identifying models of adopting and
enforcing the programme in the region.
The event has been organised by the Development Initiative of the
International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions
(INTOSAI) and EUROSAI's Training Committee, in cooperation with
the Croatian State Audit Office.
The Croatian Office was admitted to INTOSAI in 1994 and to EUROSAI
in 1996.
