At the beginning of the round table, the chairwoman of the Serbian
Helsinki Committee, Sonja Biserko, said she expected the
participants to forward an appeal to the two governments to
accelerate the normalisation because both countries' foreign
political priority was to join Europe.
Croatian Ambassador to Yugoslavia Davor Bozinovic said Yugoslavia
and Croatia had signed four agreements over the last year and that
several more were being prepared, including the most important one
on free trade. Bozinovic said that the implementation of the free
trade agreement would solve the important issues in the two
countries' communication.
