The head of the office, Hoze Pablo Bariebar, said at a press
conference that in the past few months the remains of at least 120
bodies of Kosovo Albanians found in mass graves in Batajnica and
Petrovo selo in Serbia had been examined. He added that some of the
bodies were of Serb forces killed in 1999 in Izbici near Drenica.
To date about 3,700 Albanians reported missing have been identified
and 1,000 persons of other national communities in Kosovo,
primarily Serbs.
Bareibar rejected the possibility of the existence of an illegal
jail in which people considered missing are being detained.
