on Bilateral Consultations and an Agreement on Promoting and
Protecting Investments in Zagreb on Tuesday during an official
visit by Indonesia's President, Megawati Sukarnoputri. #L#
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Croatian Government
and Indonesia on bilateral consultations was signed in the
President's Office by Deputy Foreign Minister Vesna Cvjetkovic
Kurelec and the chief of State Protocol of Indonesia, Djoko
Hardono.
After that Croatia's Economy Minister, Ljubo Jurcic, and
Indonesia's Trade and Industry Minister, Rini M.S. Suwandi, signed
the Agreement on Promoting and Protecting Investments between the
two countries.
The Indonesian delegation, led by President Sukarnoputri, arrived
on Tuesday on a return visit to Croatia after Croatian President
Stjepan Mesic visited Indonesia earlier in the year. President
Sukarnoputri will meet Prime Minister Ivica Racan and the president
of the Croatian parliament, Zlatko Tomcic, on Wednesday. After that
she will travel to the northern Adriatic archipelago of Brijuni.
