Legal conditions for the release of the controversial Slovene
citizen who denies Croatia's sovereignty in his place of residence,
Mlini, near Istria's Buje, are met now that Joras has served half of
his 30-day prison sentence, the president of the Magistrates' Court
in Umag, Vladimir Vidovic, said.
The Office of the Slovene Prime Minister announced today that Joras
would be released from custody. The Office stated that Croatian
Prime Minister Ivica Racan informed his Slovene counterpart Janez
Drnovsek of this decision over the phone.
