"The new government has started its work in the worst possible way,
with a blow to the citizens' living standard," URSH president Boris
Kunst told reporters.
He accused the government of conducting a neoliberal policy.
With the increase in the price of gas the costs of housing will grow
by ten percent, and with the announced increase in the price of
electricity by another six or seven percent.
Those increases will affect the prices of other goods and services.
A higher price has already been announced for bread and it is
expected that other foodstuffs, local transport and the utilities
will become more expensive as well, said Kunst.
He stated that since the government was ignoring employers and
unions with regard to vital decisions, these social partners would
meet to discuss the possible dissolving of the Economic and Social
Council.
