Kostunica said he would do everything to prevent a similar event
from occurring again. He said the incident which took place today
was an isolated case, and was confident and wished it would not
affect bilateral relations, spokeswoman Danijela Barisic told
Hina.
Earlier today the Yugoslav army apprehended an eastern Croatian
county delegation after intercepting their boat on the Danube with
shooting. The Croatian delegation had an arranged meeting with
representatives of Backa Palanka, Yugoslavia, on a river islet.
After being interviewed at a Backa Palanka barracks, the Croatian
delegation was returned to Sarengrad on the Croatian bank of the
river.
