The Croatian radio quoted the society's leader, Tihomir Apari as
announcing the protest at a news conference in the coastal city of
Zadar.
These war veterans insist on their exemption from the obligation to
pay the participation fee and prescription charges, on being
granted the same rights as veterans who sustained physical injuries
and on the establishment of separate hospital wings for their
treatments.
Apari said that Friday's blockade of the road, which should last for
three hours, would be set up by representatives of seven branches of
this society.
Apari was quoted by the radio as saying that in case the police use
force against protesters, they would return in kind.
