ZAGREB, July 14 (Hina) - Most Croatian households have refrigerators, colour TV sets, and washing machines; more than a half own cars, while dishwashers and microwaves are among the least frequently owned appliances.
ZAGREB, July 14 (Hina) - Most Croatian households have refrigerators, colour TV sets, and washing machines; more than a half own cars, while dishwashers and microwaves are among the least frequently owned appliances. #L# According to data on durable goods from the latest survey on household consumption in 2001, the most frequent durable goods in Croatian households are refrigerators - close to 92 percent of households own refrigerators, while more than 90 percent have colour TV sets. The least frequent durable goods are motorcycles - only 2.6 percent of households own them; only every thirteenth household owns a microwave, while only every tenth household owns a dishwasher. Fifty-three percent of households have a car, and 13.5 percent a PC. Washing machines are used in 86.4 percent of households, while 69.9 percent own a freezer. Almost two-fifths of households (39.8 percent) own a video- recorder, and slightly more than one-fourth (27.3 percent) a hi- fi.
