On Monday the Coordinating Body for the Economy met while on Tuesday
two other coordinative bodies are scheduled to meet. The regular
road construction weekly consultation will be conducted as
normal.
All members of the cabinet, who resigned on Friday, are in their
offices, including First Deputy Prime Minister Drazen Budisa, the
government reported.
Outgoing Prime Minister Ivica Racan - as the favoured candidate as
the new mandator - did not conduct any inter-party consultations on
Monday regarding the possible make-up of the new government. He
isn't authorised to do so formally until the President of the
Republic gives him official confirmation as the new mandator.
Racan will get this confirmation, as announced, from Mesic on
Wednesday after which, together with coalition partners, talks
will commence on the model and make-up of the new government.
The government confirmed that Racan still wanted a government with
less ministries than the current 19. The final model however will
depend largely on the make-up of partners in the future coalition.
