at their first trilateral meeting in Macedonia's Ohrid on Wednesday, they said in a joint statement.

The three officials met at the end of a Central European Initiative
ministerial conference in Ohrid.
Croatia and Macedonia have already signed a Stabilisation and
Association Agreement with the European Union, and will support
Yugoslavia in its bids to commence negotiations, read the
statement.
Croatia's Tonino Picula said after the meeting that providing
mutual assistance was in the common interest.
Macedonian Foreign Minister Slobodan Casule said the region was
pervaded by a "new creative atmosphere" favouring cooperation.
Yugoslavia's Goran Svilanovic pointed to the importance of
expanding free trade zones.
The three officials agreed to meet twice a year in the future. The
next meeting is to take place in Belgrade in December.
