BELGRADE, April 16 (Hina) - INA expects the Yugoslav judiciary to
issue a ruling to return INA assets that were usurped by Belgrade's
"Beopetrol", the general director of the Croatian oil company,
Tomislav Dragicevic, said on Belgrade's Radio B-92 on Tuesday. #L#
In the contrary, INA will seek the assistance of all relevant
international institutions responsible to protect the assets and
material rights of physical and legal persons, to the point of
international arbitration if need be, Dragicevic warned.
He said the best solution would be for all of INA's assets to be
returned. "Just like any other owner, we will best know how to put
these assets to the best possible use, which will benefit our
buyers, as well and the current employees of 'Beopetrol',"
Dragicevic told B-92, as quoted in the Belgrade press.
The Beopetrol company was founded in 1990, separating itself from
INA. It is currently in the process of being privatised. Since then,
INA has been attempting to settle the matter in court, that is, to
regain possession of its assets.
