ZAGREB, Jan 6 (Hina) - Last year in Croatia 5,026 apartments were built, of which the majority was for Homeland War victims and a part was from the programme of socially stimulated housing, the assistant Public Works, Reconstruction
and Building Minister and head of the Housing Administration, Alenka Kososa Cicin-Sain, told a news conference last week. According to her, 1,244 apartments for Homeland War victims at 27 locations have completely been finished. Kososa Cicin-Sain stressed that the deadline for submitting an application for loan for the socially stimulated housing programme in Zagreb was January 27. Everyone who submits the application and meets the conditions will definitely be able to purchase an apartment, she said. The towns of Varazdin, Rijeka, Osijek and Slavonski Brod, and the Islands of Rab, Krk, Losinj and Pag have joined the programme.
