for General Ademi to defend himself from freedom. "We deeply believe that the Hague tribunal will, based on guarantees by Croatian authorities, make it possible for General Rahim Ademi to defend himself from freedom and defend his and Croatia's honour by proving his innocence," the statement, signed by the union's president, Ton Marku, said. Croatian General Rahim Ademi has been indicted for command responsibility in crimes over Serbs in the Pocket of Medjak in 1993. He handed himself over to` the Hague tribunal last may.
