BELGRADE, Dec 30 (Hina) - Serbia's Election Commission on Tuesday announced the final, official results of an extraordinary parliamentary election held on Sunday according to which Vojislav Seselj's Serb Radical Party is the strongest
with 82 seats in parliament, or 1,056,256 votes.

Vojislav Kostunica's Democratic Party of Serbia is next with 53 seats,
followed by slain Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic's Democratic Party,
represented by incumbent Defence Minister Boris Tadic, with 37 seats,
Miroljub Labus' G17 party with 34 seats, the coalition of Vuk
Draskovic's Serbian Renewal Movement and Velimir Ilic's New Serbia
with 22 seats in parliament, and the Socialist Party of Serbia, also
with 22 seats.
The rest of the 19 parties and coalitions which ran in the ballot did
not cross the five-percent electoral threshold. The closest was the
"Together for Tolerance" coalition, which won 4.23 percent of the
vote.
The six parties which have entered parliament will start consultations
on the formation of coalitions that will form Serbia's new government
early next month. The new parliament must be constituted by January 28
at the latest.
