Two years ago, the cantonal court found Zeljko Dzidic, Mato Ancic,
Erhard Poznic and Ivan Skutora not guilty, but the Supreme Court of
the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina annulled the verdict, asking
for a retrial. The International Criminal Tribunal allowed that the
four stand trial before a local court in the southern Bosnian town
of Mostar.
At today's main hearing, the four defendants, who had been
provisionally released pending trial, decided to defend themselves
by remaining silent. The trial chamber allowed the introduction of
new evidence, namely the testimonies of new witnesses.
