PRISTINA, Dec 14 (Hina) - The international two-day conference
called 'Truth and Peace' wrapped up in Pristina on Saturday evening
with participants' appeal to all competent local and international
bodies to invest more efforts in searching for several thousand
missing persons in Kosovo. #L#
Four and a half years since the end of war, 4,000 people are still
listed as missing, the participants in the conference said.
The Pristina event pooled members of the families of the missing
persons and those killed during the war in Croatia, Bosnia-
Herzegovina and Macedonia as well representatives of relevant
associations from the said countries.
Participants also urged the UN Civil Administrator in Kosovo, Harri
Holkeri, to speed up the return of bodies of dead Albanians whose
corpses were transferred from Kosovo to Serbia in a bid of the then
Serbian authorities to cover up crimes committed during the
Slobodan Milosevic regime.
