WASHINGTON/NEW YORK, Dec 13 (Hina) - Representatives of 13 countries from South-East Europe, including Croatia, will meet in Vienna on December 15-16 to discuss a strategy for the prevention of people trafficking in the
region.

Vienna on December 15-16 to discuss a strategy for the prevention of

The meeting, which will be organised by the UN Development Program
from Romania, the International Centre for the Development of
Migration Policy, and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, will launch
a program for the training of police forces and special forces to
fight people trafficking, the U.N. stated in New York on Friday.
The Vienna meeting is held ahead of the going into force of the U.N.
protocol on trafficking in humans on December 25.
Of the countries which will participate in the Vienna meeting, the
protocol has been adopted by Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina,
Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro and Turkey.
