SARAJEVO, Nov 30 (Hina) - Sulejman Tihic, the Muslim (Bosniak) member of Bosnia-Herzegovina's three-man Presidency, will take the witness stand at the trial of a former Yugoslav and Serbian president, Slobodan Milosevic before the UN
war crimes tribunal in The Hague in the coming week.
SARAJEVO, Nov 30 (Hina) - Sulejman Tihic, the Muslim (Bosniak)
member of Bosnia-Herzegovina's three-man Presidency, will take the
witness stand at the trial of a former Yugoslav and Serbian
president, Slobodan Milosevic before the UN war crimes tribunal in
The Hague in the coming week. #L#
According to th Sarajevo-based Dnevni Avaz daily, Tihic flew to The
Hague on Sunday, and will begin testifying against the defendant on
Wednesday.
Before that Tihic, who is also the president of the Party of
Democratic Action (SDA), should hold talks with the tribunal's
Chief Prosecutor, Carla del Ponte, and her deputy, Graham Blewitt.
According to the paper, the topic of Tihic's testimony is not known.
However, it is known that at the very start of the war Tihic was
nabbed by Serb extremists in his hometown of Bosanski Samac. He was
detained for some time in the prison in Srijemska Mitrovica
(Serbia) and was exchanged.
