ZAGREB, Nov 23 (Hina) - At 21:30 hours on Sunday the State Electoral Commission released preliminary unofficial results in the Croatian parliamentary elections, which show that the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) is in the lead in
eight of 10 constituencies and has won 65 seats in parliament, while the Social Democrats (SDP) are in the lead in two constituencies and have won 31 parliamentary seats.
ZAGREB, Nov 23 (Hina) - At 21:30 hours on Sunday the State Electoral
Commission released preliminary unofficial results in the Croatian
parliamentary elections, which show that the Croatian Democratic
Union (HDZ) is in the lead in eight of 10 constituencies and has won
65 seats in parliament, while the Social Democrats (SDP) are in the
lead in two constituencies and have won 31 parliamentary seats.

The Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) is third and would have 12 seats,
while the Croatian People's Party (HNS) would have nine and the
Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) eight parliamentary seats.
The Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS) would have five seats,
because it has won the most votes in coalition with the SDP in
constituency no. 8.
In some constituencies, the election threshold was also passed by
the Croatian Social Liberal Party-Democratic Centre (HSLS-DC)
coalition and the Croatian Party of Pensioners, as well as the
Croatian Democratic Peasant Party (HDSS).
According to the preliminary results, Libra and the Liberal Party
(LS), which formed a coalition with the SDP, and the Primorje-
Gorski Kotar Alliance, which formed a coalition with the HNS, would
also pass the election threshold.
