ZAGREB: HDZ HOLDS ELECTION RALLY IN CENTRAL SQUARE

ZAGREB, Nov 13 (Hina) - A vice-president of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and first candidate on the party's slate in constituency no. 1, Jadranka Kosor, called on Zagreb residents at an election rally in the central square on Thursday to "help the HDZ achieve a great election result, which will be dedicated to the memory of the first Croatian President Franjo Tudjman". #L# Party candidates in constituency no. 1, headed by Ivo Sanader, were presented at the rally in Ban Jelacic Square. Kosor promised, among other things, lower taxes, economic growth, better employment and living standards, membership in the EU and NATO, and better treatment of soldiers and non-assigned police.
