"I expect that the SDSS will win all three seats in parliament the
Serbs are entitled to, as well as the one seat for diaspora
representatives, with the help of votes of Serb refugees living in
Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Together with other Serb
representatives we will be an important factor in the establishment
of a parliament and government coalition, which will be the first
time minorities are responsibly taking part in establishing the
authorities," Pupovac said after the meeting with Micunovic.
Pupovac added that the position of Serbs in Croatia was improving by
the day and that "there are no major divisions within the Croatian
Serb community".
SDSS candidates in the parliamentary elections in Croatia
supported Micunovic's candidacy in the November 16 elections for
Serbian president.
"I am confident it is time for Serbia to gain stability in an
important state institution such as the institution of president of
the republic. Serbia's stability, as well as Croatia's stability,
is a vital precondition for a good and normal life of Croatian
Serbs," said Pupovac.
